Won Gold at Junior Olympics and Named to World Championship Team

Last weekend U.S. Fencing held the Junior Olympics in Memphis, Tennessee. I competed in my last competition as a (U17) Cadet (I'll age out for next season), a Junior (U20) and Junior Team event (4 epeists from Northwest Fencing Center).

I won the gold in the Junior event!! Thanks to my coaches, Sebastian Dos Santos and Michael Marx. I couldn't have done it with your support and advice.

Also, as a member of the Junior Team made up of four Northwest Fencing Center women, Helen Joley, Mary Tung, Laney Caldwell and me, we won the Gold in the Junior National Team Event.

AND - My World Cup and National finishes made it possible for me to be one of 3 women nationally to make the U.S. Cadet Women's Epee Fencing team and will compete in the Cadet World Championships this April.

This has been a really exciting fencing season. Thanks to everyone who's offered support for me this season.

Someone I don't know posted the videos of our bout. Here are the links to all of them (not just the 3rd period at the top of my blog):
